Training Packages

The Primary Industries Skills Council covers the following Training Packages. For details of the Training Packages please refer to the National Training Information Service (NTIS) hyperlinks below.

• Rural Production Training Package RTE03
• Conservation And Land Management Training Package RTD02
• Amenity Horticulture Training Package RTF03
• Animal Care And Management Training Package RUV04
• Seafood Industry Training Package SFI04
• Racing Industry Training Package RGR02

With the exception of the Racing Industry Training Package which was endorsed last year, all other Training Packages have been extensively reviewed and later versions of these Training Packages are expected to be endorsed between July 2010 and December 2010.

Part of that review involves a merger of the Rural Production, Conservation and Land Management and Amenity Horticulture Training Packages.  This new merged Training Package will be called the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation Training Package AHC10.

Registered Training Organisations

Training Providers are licensed to provide training for specific packages. Use the above links to access the training package of interest then select RTO with scope to obtain list of the Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) whose scope covers that training package.

Many RTOs also deliver in Business Management etc. Some of these specialise in business services training.

Other Training Providers

There are many providers offering rural related training that may not be accredited. Often these are short specific courses generated by industry demand.
